DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Ms. Cofield focuses her practice on all aspects of land use law including rural and urban development permits such as determining legal lot status, property line adjustments, separating combined lots, tree cutting permits, building permit issues, Measure 49 development, partitions and subdivisions. We are also available for simple consultations on questions you may have in the development process. In her land use practice, Ms. Cofield has represented clients in land use appeals to local government, the Land Use Board of Appeals and Oregon Courts as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ms. Cofield also works on property issues such as residential real estate transactions, property line disputes, homeowner association issues, easement negotiations, shared well agreements, sewer line permits, storm drainage pond exemptions and deed preparation to list just a few of our real estate services.

Ms. Cofield was co-counsel for the Dolans in their successful appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court in Dolan v. City of Tigard. She is a contributing author for several Oregon State Bar Continuing Legal Education publications and has been a faculty member for Law Seminar International since 2005. Ms. Cofield is an active member of the Real Estate and Land Use section and works on land use law improvement legislation.
